Guitarist/Singer, Don Savoie, returns to the Buchanan Common stage to celebrate BuckTeens weekend in style!
Don Savoie honed his skills in the Detroit-Ann Arbor music scene that was so vibrant between the mid 1970s and the ‘80s. He’s opened for greats like Joe Cocker, Jackson Browne, Patti Smith, Jimmy Cliff and John Lee Hooker. He’s played the Chicago club scene, the Detroit Blues Fest, and Montreaux. The composer/arranger plays the guitar, piano and harmonica. After spending 15 years as a music professor at the University of Notre Dame, Savoie now teaches at Holy Cross College and plays 150 gigs across Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan. In 2016, he released his sixth album, “Slice of my Soul.”
This show is part of the Buchanan Common Concert Series, which takes place at the Buchanan Common across the street from Thistledown & Row. All Buchanan Common Concerts are free to attend.
